2012 ScoutingBSA.org Site Development Updates:

The purpose of this page is to check for additions and changes to this web site.  As we grow and add new information, it may be helpful to check here for notes regarding changes in the pages.  It will also be a way to quickly check if a suggested or requested change has been made.

      • Happy New Year from ScoutingBSA.org!!

Changes in March, 2012

      • Added a note to the Daniel Carter Beard Award knot to reflect that the catagory of Community Organization Award now includes 12 approved awards and that 11 of them use the same knot.  When originally posted, the Daniel Carter Beard was the first to use this knot and the group has been expanding.  The George Meany Award is now also part of the Community Organizer Award group and has it's own separate knot.
      • Added a note to the home page regarding the status of the information on the site.

The ScoutingBSA.org web site is a legacy site of the Viking Council BSA, now Northern Star Council.  
This site was the original council site and was active from 1996 to 2002 and run by volunteers.  As the web became more important to Scouting, the council took over with paid staff.  This site is no longer maintained but is an interesting snapshot of an early Scouting web site.    You can share your comments
